ABOUT ME

I have been a singer all my life. I think I was even born singing …. Lol

Music has always been a part of my life and that’s how I grew up, listening to everything, all genres of music, my life played out with a kind of invisible orchestra playing the accompaniment to everything.

I learned piano when I was little and classical guitar when I was a bit older, something I loved! Modern harmony, modern guitar too.

I took a lot of dance lessons. I always loved to dance! Modern and classical dance, body expression and a lot of things that helped me a lot on stage.

Then my fascinating witch Myriam Muniz came into my life forever. Actress, director who directed Elis Regina and so many other artists who wanted to express themselves better on stage. I bring that kind of happiness, that wonderful experience with this woman who taught me so much. She is still a big part of everything I do and everything I am. An eternal gratitude for so much, my Master Myriam!

When I started teaching singing, my interest in this incredible instrument that is our voice grew, along with my musical knowledge and experience with the art on stage and in the studio. I also wanted to understand how and why we manage to express ourselves through singing and how I can help the people who come to me. How does it work? How can you find a more beautiful way when every discovery is a jewel and a gift?

So, after studying with some people from Brazil or abroad, I decided to study voice in London at TVU University (Thames Valley University); then followed speech therapy in Portugal and in Brazil.

I became a voice specialist and also graduated as a vocal coach at CEV (Voice Studies Centre – Sao Paulo, Brazil). I also studied a special technique for the voice of Parkinson’s patients in New Castle, UK. I am currently studying Pedagogy and Technology for Voice and Singing at UNED Madrid, Spain.

So, my work focuses on singing and the orientation of the singer as an artist: interpretation, choice of repertoire, stage, acting, etc. I have also entered the world of technology, which seems to help singers understand more and more their great instrument and develop a better proprioception for it.

I could tell you all the amazing stories and experiences from concerts at the Blue Note in New York, concerts in China (Macau), Paris, Spain and South Africa. But there are videos where all this is told with grace, feeling, and shining eyes.

It is rather technical and formal, but nice for those who are curious to know everything I have learnt and continue to learn.
